A multiyear project whereby a Forsite specialist oversaw the forestry interests of a First Nation; providing or acquiring the services required by Tsay Keh and its Limited Partnerships to administer, manage and maintain its forest tenures in good standing.

Access to fibre and negotiations for that fibre presented challenges. Forsite’s specialist continued to access fibre for the Nation in creative ways; forging relationships where needed to ensure Tsay Keh can continue to participate in the forest industry.

The revenue generated through the forestry program funded many of the Nation’s initiatives that would not have had the funds to move forward otherwise: Elders centre, hot lunch program for kids, Christmas concerts, silviculture contracts available to Band members, and housing starts.

In January 2017, the Tsay Keh Dene forestry company, Chu Cho Industries LP, received a good audit report from the Province of British Colombia's Forest Practices Board. All forestry activities carried out between October 2014 and October 2016 were audited, including timber harvesting, roads, silviculture, wildfire protection and associated planning.

Tim Ryan, board chair of the Forest Practices board, said "We are pleased to see that this licensee carried out good forest practices and fully met the requirements of the Forest and Range Practices Act and the Wildfire Act. Harvesting and regeneration activities were well done and we were particularly pleased to see fire hazard assessments carried out following harvesting and all hazards treated."
