Wildfire risks in the Southern Rockies are significant and complex. A structured planning process was designed and implemented. The resulting plan provided the Alberta Government with a clear understanding of the wildfire risks and direction on a priority risk mitigation response.
For the planning process, Forsite was able to facilitate input from the Alberta Government, First Nations, and others. Clear direction and management strategies were developed to support the implementation of the plan moving forward.
The planning process provided a clear understanding of the location and components of the wildfire related risks across the project area. Comprehensive and detailed management strategies provided meaningful guidance to land managers in moving risk response and mitigation actions forward.
